This small orphanage is not far from Volta Home and is run by George and Florence Alu who were teachers at the Volta Home school for many years.

George and Florence began building the orphanage in 2008 and are ready to welcome volunteers who would like to contribute to this wonderful project.   Grace Orphanage is less then an hour away from Volta Home, across the Togo boarder near Kpalime.

George and Florence can speak English, although Ewe and French are the first languages for this part of the world.

• George is willing to meet you in Hohoe and guide you there.
• A Togo visa can be bought at the boarder and will cost 25 cedis  
• There is accommodation for 3 volunteers at Grace Orphanage and a weeks (or less) accommodation plus three daily meals will cost 50 cedis

This orphanage is being built with love and a strong sense of respect for all the children living here.  It is a beautiful home and we think you will enjoy spending a few days helping with the building process     -    and being part of this special community.
